Objectives

1. Promote clean, safe and energy efficient vehicle technologies
2. Support development of stringent fuel efficiency and vehicle emission regulations and policies in China
3. Conduct policy research and recommendations on reducing oil demand and GHG emissions from motor vehicles
4. Advise China on oil replacement strategies and research on hydrogen and alternative fuels
5. Conduct research, scenario analysis and recommendations on future of personal use vehicles and transportation demand management
6. Do capacity building on establishing transportation database in China and improving mobile source emissions for China’s mega cities
7. Promote and host international exchanges on automotive energy and climate research
