iCET was invited to present its new Big Data and ICT work area for improving policy decisions in the transport sector in China towards better urban and national air quality and sustainable low-carbon emissions development. Maya Ben Dror, iCET’s Clean Transportation Transformation Director, highlighted the gap between reported passenger transportation emissions and fuel consumption and actual figures collected through ICT sources in over 31 cities in China over her presentation and through the expert panel discussion. With over 250 participants, the event included international experts from influential institutions (e.g. Brazil, US, WB, ITF) as well as national representation of experts in the field, and enabled practical information exchange and collaboration opportunities exploration.
