News I iCET organizes US – Jiangsu, China Green Business Match-Making Event

On May 22nd, 2009, Innovation Center for Energy and Transportation (iCET) and China Jiangsu Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (DOFTEC) successfully organized a US-China Green Business Match-Making Event in Los Angeles. The Chinese delegate included government officials, 7 Regional Economic Development Zones with green business projects, and chief representatives of leading environmental-friendly companies seeking clean-tech solutions and clean-tech investment opportunities.

In the US side, there are a group of important people attended the event, including: Tracy Arnold (California Governor's Office); Greg Moore (Los Angeles Economic Development Corporation); Ma Youqing (Los Angeles City Government); Bonnie Reiss (Pegasus Advisor and Regent of University of California UC); Terry Tamminen (Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's Climate Change Advisor and the former California EPA secretary); etc. Participants of the event shared the latest development and achievements of the green industry and explored the industry's future prospects in both China and US. The executive director of iCET Dr. Feng An gave a welcome speech and made presentations on green business development.
