iCET Publishes Long-awaited Report: “Evaluating California’s Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Credits and Trading Mechanism and its Potential Suitability for China”

iCET's“Evaluating California's Zero-Emission Vehicle (ZEV) Credits and Trading Mechanism and its Potential Suitability for China”report, supported by the Energy Foundation, was published earlier this week. This report is aimed at kick-starting a more in-depth evaluation of California’s successful ZEV Credit Program, intended to lead to the design of a similar ZEV-credits scheme custom tailored to China.

iCET May Policy Brief: China's Fuel Economy Enforcement

On May 5th, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), which governs fuel economy implementation for passenger cars, published the list of auto manufacturers’ average corporate fuel consumption scores for the year 2013. The list introduces average fuel consumption data provided directly by the submitting companies (totaling 104), as well as a list of 7 manufacturers that failed to submit their corporate average fuel consumption data as required.

iCET Attends Live Broadcast Roundtable Discussion on Fuel Consumption Labeling and Targets

May 14, iCET Clean Transportation Program Officer, Ms. Kang Liping, was invited to a roundtable discussion on the issues of fuel consumption labeling and targets organized and broadcast live by Beijing’s Traffic Radio Automotive World. Ms. Kang introduced the findings of iCET’s 2013 extensive label implementation assessment study, re-emphasizing the clear need for more transparent regulatory enforcement in China.

iCET Presents at UNEP Event - Reforming Fossil-Fuel Subsidies for an Inclusive Green Economy

Nairobi. April 28-29th. A two-day workshop on ‘Reforming Fossil Fuel Subsidies for an Inclusive Green Economy’ took place last month in Nairobi. The workshop was hosted by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and supported by the Global Subsidies Initiative (GSI), the German development agency GIZ and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). As the Representative from China, iCET President, Dr. Feng An, provided insight on China fossil fuel subsides and low-carbon development policies.
