iCET visits partners in Northern California

Feb.16th–Feb.19th, 2010, Dr. Feng An and Dr. Yufu Cheng took a four days trip to Northern California for meeting partners and discussing potential collaborations. Organizations that were visited include Hewlett Foundation, Hewlett-Packard Company, Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI), Terra Global Capital, Energy Foundation, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E), ClimateWorks Foundation, International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT), California Energy Commission (CEC), and The Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Davis (ITS-Davis).

National standard "the principles and requirements of LCA for transportation fuel GHGs emissions" is undertaking public review.

December 23, 2009 – The proposed national standard, The Principles and Requirements of Lifecycle Assessment for Transportation Fuel Greenhouse Gas Emissions, which is the first standard for transportation fuel lifecycle assessment, was sent to relevant stakeholders by The National Environmental Management Standardization Technical Committee for extensive public review on December 22nd, 2009 with public review round to be complete by March 2nd, 2010.

iCET attends Sohu Copenhagen Media Kick-off Meeting

November 24, 2009 - Representatives from iCET attended a forum on China's position for Copenhagen climate change negotiation at Sohu's studio, organized by Sohu.com's Green channel. Yang Fuqaing from WWF, Chen Ying from the Sustainable Development Research Center of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Li Gao from NDRC, shared their opinions on the climate change negotiations and China's position.
