iCET organizes US – Jiangsu, China Green Business Match-Making Event

On May 22nd, 2009, Innovation Center for Energy and Transportation (iCET) and China Jiangsu Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (DOFTEC) successfully organized a US-China Green Business Match-Making Event in Los Angeles. The Chinese delegate included government officials, 7 Regional Economic Development Zones with green business projects, and chief representatives of leading environmental-friendly companies seeking clean-tech solutions and clean-tech investment opportunities.

On Sunday April 26th, 2009 the entire iCET staff participated in a half day training session with Robyn Camp, vice president of The Climate Registry based in Los Angeles California. The training session was held in iCET's headquarter office in Chaoyang District in Beijing, China.

iCET signs Low Carbon Fuel National Standard development agreement with China National Institute of Standardization.

April 9, 2009 – Beijing – The Innovation Center for Energy and Transportation (iCET) is very pleased to announce that we have advanced our China Low Carbon Fuels Standards and Policy (CLCFS) project to a further stage towards implementation. On 24 March 2009, iCET signed an agreement with the China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS) to begin developing a National Standard methodology for calculating the lifecycle Greenhouse Gas emissions of transport fuels in China.

iCET organized UK – RTFO Policy Study Trip

February 22–29, 2009, iCET organized the RTFO policy study trip to London, UK, had the objective of learning about the inception, design, implementation and evaluation of the RTFO, so as to make informed recommendations on low carbon fuel policy in China, based on the operational experience of the UK.

iCET launches Energy and Carbon Registry in Southern China

Beijing –Feb. 4,2009 --The Innovation Center for Energy and Transportation (iCET), a non-profit, non-governmental organization registered in Beijing, China and Pasadena, California has been awarded a grant from the Rockefeller Brothers Fund to develop a public, government backed carbon and energy efficiency registry in Guangdong Province in southern China. The registry, called the China Energy and Carbon Registry (CECR) is the first of its kind to be developed anywhere in China.
